about

A teacher by trade. A passion to capture everyday moments. Life, in and of itself. Photography for me began as a hobby that has turned a lifetime passion into a career. Self taught with a keen eye for unique images, I strive to capture human emotions, personalities & genuine moments.

I love the prairies. I am most content in the wide open spaces. I love
the outdoors. And will tolerate mosquitoes to get out there. I love all
four seasons, and the fact that we live in a province of extremes. I loved
living in Alberta but am happy to be back in my home province of Manitoba.
I love all my family. I have a very energetic husband whom I love and
I am a mother to a son and daughter, that like all children, keep me hopping
and help me revisit parts of the world through their eyes. Animals are
my friends – people that know me know that my dogs are spoiled rotten.

And I love taking photographs. It’s a passion. I have a Nikon and a Canon.
I don’t have a brand preference, you need a camera to capture the image.
I do think you need to print your images, that we are losing the “intimacy”
of holding that print in hand to ooh and ahh over it. I believe that everyone
has an artistic side, and that photography can be a great outlet to explore.
I get super pumped seeing other people’s great images and feel inspired.
And I’ve turned into a harvest junkie – I’m so excited for harvest each
year around here, to get out there and photograph.
